Contract (3 months+)

The Role:

The post holder will support the Brokerage Management Team to ensure the department and partner organisations are supported effectively in the commissioning of Residential and Domiciliary Care across both block and spot contract care provision.

The post holder will also ensure all systems are appropriately and promptly updated.

The post holder will be responsible for the effective management of bed vacancies within block care homes and support the team managers in accurate and timely bed void reporting.

The Post holder will ensure where possible to provide an integrated seamless approach to providing brokerage support.

The Candidate:

  • At least 18 months experience of working within a Social Care Brokerage environment supporting the commissioning of both Residential and Domiciliary Care.
  • At least two years' experience of working in a Health or Social care setting.
  • Displays an awareness, understanding and commitment to the protection and safeguarding of vulnerable adults.
  • Understanding of the brokerage function within a social care setting, fee negotiation, best value and quality assurance best practice.
  • Strong negotiation skills with an ability to work under pressure, prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships with a broad range of people across social care and providers.
