The successful candidate will support the smooth and effective running of the company's Delegated Authority processes. This includes overseeing and supporting the Delegated Authority Analyst and Delegated Authority Technician in fulfilling their duties, assisting with query resolution, and monitoring all aspects of workflow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the governance and oversight of all delegated authorities written on Syndicate paper.
  • Representing the company at Lloyd’s or Market Delegated Authority meetings e.g. DUM forums / Lloyd’s Projects in the Head of Delegated Authority's absence.
  • Promoting business engagement with Delegated Authority Requirements.
  • Providing day to day support, guidance, query resolution, supervision and oversight of the Delegated Authority Analyst and Technician.
  • Providing absence / surge cover for the Delegated Authority Analyst and Technician.
  • Proactively managing workflow processes.
  • Monitoring performance against Delegated Authority requirements.
  • Coordinating and overseeing the annual review of the Delegated Authority process guides, ensuring they are accurate and that they reflect best practice before sign off by the Head of Delegated Authority.
  • Delivering the quarterly Delegated Authority Controls Reviews and presenting findings to the Head of Delegated Authority.
  • Processing Lead DCOM entries, new Coverholder Applications, and mid-term contract changes, including endorsements or permission changes.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in a technical Delegated Authority role.
  • Experience of supervising or managing others.
  • Practical experience of sponsoring Coverholder Applications and conducting Coverholder due diligence.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • The confidence to challenge others, ask probing questions, and raise difficult topics that need to be addressed.
