They are currently seeking an experienced Equities Documentation Negotiator to join their team in London. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse range of financial instruments and develop customised solutions for increasingly complex client needs. The successful candidate will be part of a first line team within the Institutional Equities Division, covering risk areas such as Non-Market Risk (Operational Risk), Counterparty Risk, Conduct Risk and Contract Negotiations.* Global leader in equity origination, distribution and trading* Opportunity to work with diverse financial instruments* Part of a first line team within the Institutional Equities DivisionWhat you'll do:As an Equities Documentation Negotiator, your role will be pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our client's equities division. You will be responsible for identifying necessary documentation for clients to trade securities or OTC and exchange traded derivatives. Your excellent problem-solving skills will be utilised as you perform related due diligence scans. You will draft and negotiate legal documentation including master agreements, amendments, and ancillary documents. Your strong interpersonal skills will come into play as you handle client negotiations and liaise with internal stakeholders.* Identify necessary documentation for clients to trade securities or OTC and exchange traded derivatives* Perform related due diligence scans* Draft and negotiate legal documentation including master agreements, amendments, and ancillary documents* Handle client negotiations and any related projects to ensure timely execution and completion* Liaise with internal stakeholders in Credit, Risk Management, Legal and Sales to negotiate contractual terms* Respond to internal and external questions* Understand and adhere to established procedures* Communicate with clients and external counsel* Keep abreast of market developments and share updates with internal stakeholders* Update internal spreadsheets and systems with document or status dataWhat you bring:The ideal candidate for the Equities Documentation Negotiator role brings a wealth of experience from a law firm or the financial industry where they have negotiated trading agreements. They are able to work independently with minimal supervision while also managing senior stakeholder relationships effectively. Their strong negotiation skills are demonstrated by their experience with prime brokerage or clearing legal documents.
