Financial Inclusion Officer needed in Ealing Paying £20.52 per hr Ref 8026

  • Promote Rent Payment: Reduce legal actions and costs by promoting rent and service charge payments through presentations and publications.
  • Pre-Court Protocol: Ensure all pre-court actions are followed, offering advice to tenants to avoid legal action.
  • Eviction Prevention: Work with Court Officers to prevent eviction by reaching payment agreements with residents.
  • Universal Credit Support: Assist in Universal Credit delivery and provide advice to residents.
  • Collaboration with DWP: Build relationships with DWP for a comprehensive referral and advice service.
  • IT System Updates: Maintain IT systems for Universal Credit and welfare reform, providing statistical information as needed.
  • Resident Engagement: Draft presentations and publications to promote rent payment and income maximisation.
  • Sheltered Housing Support: Advise Sheltered Housing residents on rent payments and welfare benefits.
  • Home Visits: Verify residents’ circumstances and documentation through home visits.
  • Support Vulnerable Residents: Ensure vulnerable and ethnic minority residents understand advice, consequences of non-payment, and receive appropriate assistance.
  • Fraud Referral: Refer suspected fraud cases to the Audit & Investigation team.
  • Income Maximisation: Promote rent payment and income maximisation at resident meetings and events.
  • Benefit Knowledge: Maintain knowledge of benefit regulations to advise residents and maximise their income.
  • Debt Advice: Advise residents on debt management, budgeting, and negotiating with creditors.
  • Performance Management: Participate in team meetings and performance management.
  • Correspondence and Reporting: Draft correspondence, compile reports, and explain rules to tenants.
  • Liaison: Work with banks, credit unions, DWP, and other agencies.
  • Financial Assistance: Assist residents with requests for financial aid.
  • Debt Recovery Negotiation: Negotiate debt recovery rates with relevant officers and agencies.
