Loans Admin Officer role:

As part of this busy and friendly Operations team, the Loans Administration Officer will provide and process support for the front-line business units handling trade financing, lending and transaction banking. You will be responsible for administering the delivery of all functions in respect of syndicated and bilateral loans, providing good operational support and services to Corporate Banking, Financial Institutions and Risk Management departments as well as other stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage drawdowns, rollovers, repayments and rate fixing for agency, bilateral and syndication loan transactions
  • Reconcile and process commitment/utilisation fees and charges while following up on missed payments from agents or customers.
  • Reconcile journal entries for transactions ensuring balance within the Banks System.
  • Review and assess legal and loan documents including approvals for new and existing agency, syndication and bilateral facilities.
  • Calculate, process and reconcile commitment and utilisation fees, charges and follow up with agents/customers on any outstanding payments.
  • Monitor undrawn commitment balances to confirm that utilisation aligns with the terms of the facility agreement.
  • Assist the supervisor in preparing business requests and conducting system upgrade tests.
  • Submit business requests for system changes or improvements.
  • Liaise with the Global Financial Markets department regarding fund requirements and inform the Clearing & Payments department of funds movements in timely manner.
  • Collaborate with agents and advise the Bank’s relationship managers about any system- related issues impacting their facilities
  • Process fund receipts and payments using internal systems.
  • Assess and resolve system and limits issues by working with relationship managers.
  • Archive and dispose of fully repaid syndicated customer files according to the Bank’s retention policy.

Requirements

  • You will be ideally Degree educated.
  • Proven Track record in similar department /field.
  • Knowledge of syndicated loan and bilateral products.
  • Able to work with highest level of accuracy.
  • Team player.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good MS Excel skills.
