I am delighted to be partnered with a global law firm in their search for a Rates Assistant to join their London office on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate looking to break into rates from a different area of legal finance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative assistance to support senior members of the Rates team.
- Monitor the Rates inbox and respond to email queries promptly.
- Review global business acceptance rate proposals, including entering matter rates, applying blended rate sets, and discounts.
- Support the team with general rates housekeeping to ensure existing system rates are accurate.
- Update system client/matter comments with current rate information.
- Produce rate information from Aderant and SSRS reports.
- Attend team meetings to discuss issues and solutions.
- Assist the Rates Manager with ad-hoc requests.
About You:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Previous experience in Finance/Accounts.
- Understanding of the billing process.
- Experience using an accounting practice management system.
- Proficiency in Excel and other MS packages.
- Strong communication skills.
- Numerically competent with excellent organisational skills.
- Proven ability to use initiative and maintain a proactive attitude.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work produced.
