The business has seen a lot of growth over the last couple of years and since this, they are hiring for a Reinsurance Claims Adjuster.
You will play a pivotal role in managing complex claims across a range of specialty lines such as marine, aviation, political violence, political risk, and terrorism. You’ll join a collaborative team of four experienced claims professionals, where you’ll have ample opportunities to learn and develop your skills. This role offers exposure to a thriving syndicate environment and involves regular interaction with underwriters, finance teams, brokers, and other key stakeholders, allowing you to build your own invaluable professional relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse initial claim notifications, including coverage verification and associated checks for both proportional and excess of loss contracts
- Ensure reserving is valid and appropriate
- Maintain electronic claims files and validate settlements, within authority levels
- Ensuring and delivering excellent claims service to all customers, by effectively driving claims through to resolution
- Develop a thorough understanding of Treaty Reinsurance (Cross Class)
- Developing relationships with brokers, legal representatives, and clients
- Internal liaison with Underwriters and Reserving Actuaries
They are keen to meet with people who hold experience in reinsurance claims handling, ideally within one or more of the specialty lines mentioned. A proactive and collaborative approach, with a keen interest in learning and developing professionally.
