Baker

This family run boutique artisan bakery and coffee shop has an immediate vacancy for a talented baker to join the team. The bakery produces croissants and Viennoiserie, sourdoughs and speciality breads as well as cakes, pastries and some savoury items. Everything is finished by hand with excellent attention to detail, standards are high. The bakery and coffee shop have a good reputation locally and are always busy. The kitchen is well equipped with dough breaks, spiral mixers and commercial ovens.

Duties will include all aspects of the preparation, baking and finishing of a full range of croissants and breakfast items, cakes, sourdoughs and savouries in line with daily production targets.

Required: Qualifications / Skills / Experience

  • Passion & enthusiasm for pastry, bread & raw ingredients
  • Several years’ experience in a commercial bakery or patisserie
  • Creative flair
  • Team player with a strong work ethic
  • Meticulous, organized and punctual

We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable baker/pastry chef with good commercial patisserie/bakery experience and a "can do" attitude to work. Capable of working in a small hands-on team delivering a high standard product; in touch with responsible food provenance and industry trends.

Our work is meaningful. We take pride in every croissant and every loaf that leaves our ovens in the morning.

5-day week straight shifts

3am to 11am

Closed Monday & Tuesday

Salary: £15 an hour
