  • Develop and execute merchandising strategies that align with the company's objectives
  • Oversee buying, inventory management, and product selection
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling product presentations
  • Use data and analytics to optimise product performance and customer satisfaction
  • Drive financial performance and growth for the retail department
  • Foster strong relationships with vendors and suppliers
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing merchandising team
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activities

Profile

A successful Head of Merchandising should have:

  • Extensive knowledge of retail merchandising within a fashion retailer
  • Has worked at either merchandising manager or Head of Merchandising level for 3 years+
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent analytical abilities and understanding of retail KPIs
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to maintain relationships with suppliers
  • A customer-centric approach and ability to understand market trends
  • Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
