New Business Manager - Financial Markets

London, Victoria (4 days per week in the office after successful probation)

Up to £60k base, OTE £70k-£80k

Job Purpose:This is a new business role within the financial markets, and we're looking for someone hungry with new business sales experience. The primary purpose of this role is to successfully deliver and develop new business by identifying and capitalising on new opportunities. The role aims to increase profitability and market share by securing membership applications from targeted prospects.

Member Acquisition:

  • Target Identification: Identify key cities, geographies, and audiences (families and family offices) for membership acquisition.
  • Prospecting: Proactively source, approach, call, engage, meet, and close potential members, particularly Ultra-High-Net-Worth families and private investors.
  • Event Engagement: Actively engage with families and their executives at company events across EMEA.
  • Networking: Participate in networking events, client meetings, and competitive conferences to build relationships and promote memberships.
  • Pipeline Development: Build and maintain a strong pipeline of membership prospects.
  • Sales Conversion: Convert prospects into membership sales.
  • Marketing Implementation: Implement the EMEA Membership marketing strategy and plan.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Target Achievement: Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual targets related to revenue, value, and relationship development.
  • Account Management: Develop, prepare, and maintain Strategic Account Plans (SAPs) with necessary account data.
  • Opportunity Identification: Identify growth opportunities and generate action plans to secure business.
  • Forecasting: Ensure forecasts are updated to reflect current membership opportunities.
  • Data Management: Accurately develop and maintain client information, recording tasks and updating membership conversion status daily.
  • Team Management: Oversee and support the success of an existing Business Development Manager (BDM) in London.
  • Reporting: Provide weekly account synopsis reports detailing project status, relationship status, risks, opportunities, and threats.
  • Issue Reporting: Capture and report any issues affecting client relations.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in sales/membership development.
  • Proven experience in relationship development and management.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to present proposals effectively.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, planning, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
