Prestigious banking brand is seeking multiple experienced Relationship Manager's to join their London HQ near Moorgate. The bank is now in its 50th year in the UK and is sitting on around £1.2bln on their balance sheet. The bank offers a range of verticals including, Business Banking, Trade Finance, Wholesale, Wealth and Treasury opportunities.
Job Purpose
The role holder is primarily responsible for driving profitable volume growth through value added sales and service of Commercial / SME customers. You will target and manage an assigned portfolio of customers within the commercial credit business segments. The key challenge in this role is to manage both existing and grow new corporate portfolios and to read early warning signs that could affect the portfolio health. Property and BTL lending experience helpful as is a credit analysis background.
Colleague Objectives:
- Coaching and training RM/RSO’s - ensuring all KPI’s are managed as per business scorecard
- Quality Assurance support with stakeholder units
- Country Credit Committee preparation and presentation of cases
- Robust and strong personal diary management skills
Customer Objectives:
- Portfolio Management of branches and adherence to TCF guidelines
- Customer networking and managing client appointments
- Trade & FX referrals to the business
- Targeted account opening volumes
Commercial Objectives:
- Targeted asset growth of the branch balance sheets
- Targeted deposit growth of the branch balance sheets
- Negotiate client proposals for assets and deposits
- Submit proposals to internal credit and account opening teams
- Disburse lending in accordance to branch targets
Control Objectives:
- Manage credit renewals within bank policy and timescales
- Ensure compliance entries and transactions are monitored in branches to policy
- Enhanced Due Diligence is completed on accounts and branches manage to timescale
- Excess monitoring of all key accounts and ensure all KRI’s are managed in branches
- SLA’s for account openings are managed to business policy
- Support RM/RSO’s with complex credit case enquiries as a subject matter expert (not case checker)
- Assist Head of Business Banking with MI, meeting admin, minutes and adhoc presentations as part of the business development unit governance
- Engage with branch champion activities i.e. moratorium project, rota planning
- Champion MI for the branch and support with data analysis
- Point of reference for new interns in project support and/or training requirements
