Your New Role The Accounts Receivable Assistant will become an integral member of a newly formed European finance team, contributing to the financial success of a rapidly growing branded fashion business. The role offers an excellent opportunity to work across UK and European entities in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, follow up, and allocate payments from a wide European customer base.
- Follow up on overdue debtor amounts to secure payments.
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies, create payment plans, and monitor compliance.
- Respond to and manage customer queries effectively.
- Generate weekly and monthly accounts receivable reports.
- Monitor outstanding balances, overdues, credit limits, and debtor days.
- Conduct customer master data activities.
- Provide backup for bank statement postings and other finance-related tasks.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Proven prior experience in Accounts Receivable.
- Strong management skills with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proficiency in financial reporting software, Microsoft Excel, and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to drive change and enhance efficiency in a fast-paced environment, comfortable in a smaller organisation.
- Experience in the European market with fluency in German or French.
- Background in the fashion industry.
