Our client, a highly regarded London-based solicitors specialising in crime, family law and human rights have an opening for a Accounts Clerk to join their team.

Responsibilities

  • Paying invoices by BACS or cheque
  • Paying wages, tax and NI
  • Updating accounts in Xero
  • Keeping deputyship payroll records,
  • Preparing OPG accounts
  • Preparing spreadsheets of expenditure
  • Online banking
  • Providing administrative support to the COP team
  • Liaising with clients about expenditure
  • Sending bank statements to clients
  • Opening investment accounts and withdrawing money from those accounts
  • Keeping and monitoring deputyship bank statements and dealing with the bank and other financial institutions
  • Managing personal allowance cards for clients and support staff
  • Preparing bills for Private Client department
  • Arranging for files to be assessed by the Senior Courts Costs office
  • Liaising with the OPG in relation to statements and cost certificates.

  • Bookkeeping and accounting experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Great attention to detail
  • Able to work under deadlines
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Work on your own initiative
