They offer a collaborative and fast-paced work environment, encouraging growth and development within the fintech space. The company operates on a hybrid work model, with team members working three days in the office each week.Role Overview The Accounts Payable Specialist will form part of the payable function processing a high volume of transactions across multiple currencies, including FX and crypto. Additionally, the role includes a crossover with accounts receivable responsibilities, requiring the candidate to manage some aspects of incoming payments and customer accounts. This position is ideal for someone comfortable in a dynamic, high-growth fintech setting who can adapt to cross-functional responsibilities.Key Responsibilities
  • Accounts Payable: Process and verify high volumes of invoices using Sun accounting software, ensuring accuracy in coding and timely payments in GBP, FX, and crypto.
  • Accounts Receivable Crossover: Assist in managing customer accounts, processing incoming payments, and resolving any billing issues that arise.
  • Payment Processing: Prepare, schedule, and execute payments to vendors, including digital asset transactions, across various currencies.
  • Vendor and Customer Relations: Maintain strong relationships with vendors and customers by handling inquiries, resolving discrepancies, and managing payment schedules.
  • Reconciliation: Conduct regular reconciliations of bank accounts and ledgers to ensure accuracy of both accounts payable and accounts receivable balances.
  • Compliance: Ensure all transactions meet company policies and industry regulations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and propose improvements to streamline the accounts payable and receivable processes for increased efficiency.
Requirements
  • Experience: At least 3 years of accounts payable experience, preferably with exposure to accounts receivable, in fintech, FX, crypto, or financial services.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with Sun accounting software and proficiency in MS Excel. (Desirable)
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent accuracy, especially with high transaction volumes, across both AP and AR functions.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to manage both vendor and customer relationships effectively. 
Salary
  • Competitive salary of £30,000 - £37,500 with performance-based bonuses
  • Hybrid work arrangement (3 days in the office per week)
