Job Overview:

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and diligent individual to join their team as an Accounts Payable. As part of their finance department, you will be responsible for managing and processing supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers. This is a temporary position with the opportunity for extension based on performance.

Responsibilities:

* Process supplier invoices accurately and efficiently, matching them with purchase orders and resolving any discrepancies

* Reconcile supplier statements and work closely with suppliers to resolve any issues or queries

* Prepare and process payment runs, adhering to payment terms and company policies

* Handle any ad hoc requests from the finance team related to accounts payable

* Assist with month-end closing procedures and provide necessary support for audits

* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all payments and transactions

Qualifications:

* Previous experience in accounts payable or a similar role

* Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel

* Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy while working in a fast-paced environment

* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, taking initiative and prioritising workload effectively

Contractual Details:

This position is temporary, with an hourly rate ranging from £16 to £18, depending on experience. The working hours are 9:00am - 5:00pm, Monday to Friday. Our client offers a supportive and collaborative working environment, where you will have the opportunity to develop and enhance your skills.
