As part of our finance team, you will play a critical role in managing the accounts payable function across multiple properties within the group. Job Summary:As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be responsible for the efficient management of the accounts payable process across our group of hotels. This includes processing invoices, reconciling vendor accounts, and ensuring all payments are made in a timely and accurate manner. You will work closely with the finance team and other departments to maintain smooth operations and to support the overall financial health of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Invoice Management: Process, verify, and reconcile a high volume of invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
  • Payment Processing: Prepare and process electronic transfers, cheque payments, and other payment requests in a timely manner.
  • Vendor Relations: Communicate with vendors to resolve any billing or payment discrepancies, maintaining positive and productive relationships.
  • Expense Reporting: Assist with employee expense claims, ensuring they comply with company policies and are accurately recorded.
  • Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts payable transactions and monthly statements to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records, ensuring all documentation is stored in line with company and regulatory standards.
  • Support Month-End Close: Assist the finance team in the month-end closing processes, including generating reports and supporting documentation for audits.
  • Compliance & Controls: Follow internal control procedures and contribute to process improvements that enhance accuracy and efficiency in the accounts payable function.
