Your role as an Accounts Payable Officer will involve:
- Managing client bank accounts dedicated to business requirements, contractor payments, and payroll on behalf of clients.
- Ensuring the administration of client accounts is compliant and properly funded.
- Handling internal accounts payable for supplier invoices, ensuring timely processing and payments before month-end.
- Coordinating weekly payment runs (Wednesdays) to ensure all suppliers are paid on time.
- Working with a small finance team of 3, reporting directly to the finance team manager.
Skills & Experience Required for an Accounts Payable Officer:
- Minimum 2 year of commercial accounts payable experience.
- Strong Excel skills (an Excel test will be part of the interview process).
- AAT level 3 or 4 qualified.
- Keen interest in automation and process improvements.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work to deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and check your own work.
