Accounts Receivable Specialist

HAYS are exclusively working with a leading medical equipment supplier seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sole Charge Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial in managing the accounts receivable function, ensuring timely collection of payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, possess excellent communication skills, and have a strong understanding of accounting principles.Location: Park Royal4 days office. 1 day from home.Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the entire accounts receivable process, including invoicing, payment collection, and reconciliation.
• Monitor customer accounts for delayed payments and follow up as necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of all transactions and prepare regular financial reports.
• Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to resolve any billing issues.
• Conduct credit checks on new customers and set credit limits.
• Prepare and send out monthly statements to customers.
• Handle customer enquiries regarding invoices and payments.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Assist with month-end closing activities and audits as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar role.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
