An exciting opportunity has arisen for an AP Assistant to join a dynamic team in Central London. This role offers the chance to work within a newly merged AP team, providing support & maintaining strong relationships with the operational side of the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring invoices & reconciling supplier accounts. With a salary range of £30k - £32k, this role is perfect for someone who is efficient & quick at processing large volumes.

Responsibilities:

As an Accounts Payable Assistant, your primary role will be to provide additional support within the AP team. You will be responsible for monitoring the invoices mailbox and processing the invoices received daily. Your keen eye for detail will ensure that these are sent to the correct approvers and are coded correctly. You will also process specific invoices such as Food and Beverage against purchase orders while communicating with the Operations team on any errors. Additionally, you will handle Utility supplier invoices for all buildings in the portfolio and reconcile supplier accounts. Your role will also involve being the communication link between the team and Operational side of the business.

  1. Daily monitoring of the Invoices Mailbox
  2. Processing high volume of invoices on a daily basis
  3. Maintaining and processing Utility invoices for all buildings in the portfolio
  4. Ensuring invoices follow the correct approval routes and flagging/maintaining when not
  5. Communicating with the Operations team to ensure best practice is followed in SAP in regard to purchase orders
  6. Assisting the Team with ad-hoc requests

The Ideal Candidate:

The ideal Accounts Payable Assistant candidate will bring a wealth of previous experience in Accounts Payable to this role. You will have advanced Microsoft Excel abilities coupled with strong commercial awareness. Your good understanding of the sector and current financial environment will enable you to excel in this role. Your exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, planning, and organisational skills will be key in managing your portfolio of responsibilities effectively. Your ability to communicate with both finance and non-finance personnel will be crucial in maintaining good working relationships.

  1. Previous experience in Accounts Payable is essential
  2. Advanced Microsoft Excel abilities
  3. Strong commercial awareness
  4. Good understanding of the sector and current financial environment
  5. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  6. Ability to manage a portfolio of responsibilities, priorities and meet deadlines.
