Pentagon Talent have partnered with a top 200 boutique London based Law firm in their search for an Accounts Payable Officer to join their London team.

The Accounts Payable Officer will be required to ensure the department remain compliant in line with the SRA regulations, along with ensuring the team provide daily input for office expenditure. An expectation will be apparent for the new Accounts Payable Officer to channel the implementation of any new Accounts Payable system and assurance of the smooth running of the Credit Card process.

Overview

The Accounts Payable officer will work within a team of highly competent Accounts Payable and Legal Cashiering staff in the firm's superb offices in the head of London. As part of such a dynamic team, the successful Accounts Payable officer will be expected to have experience of and perform the following duties and withhold the following characteristics and experience:

Duties/Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Officer

  • BACS payments for Supplier invoices on a weekly basis
  • Enter invoices, disbursements or expenses onto Aderant
  • Code invoices to the applicable budget codes
  • Ensure client disbursements are released in relation to the solicitors account rules
  • Reconcile account ledger balances
  • Handle SAR queries and breaches to ensure any errors are corrected in line with compliance
  • Handling queries via the phone from internal clients and suppliers
  • Supplier statement reconciliation
  • Communicating with the Risk and Compliance department in regards to new supplier set ups
  • Covering department demands where required
