Halliday Marx have partnered exclusively with a central London based publish firm looking to hire a Part-Time Accounts assistant for 3 to 4 days per week on 6 month Contract. The role may turn permanent afterwards.

The role is Hybrid and paying £30,000 to £35,000 (DOE) pro rata.

To be clear: 4 days a week pays £24,000-28,000 and 3 days a week pays £18,000-21,000.

The role:

Downloading Bank statements

Uploading to Xero and then reconciling

Allocate payments on the unpaid sheet along with adding recent remittances

Raise weekly Advertisement invoices

Compiling supplier payments BACS runs

Uploading to the bank

Monthly Recharge invoices

Bank accounts fully reconciled

Credit Card Reconciliations

Purchase Ledger: Invoice approvals by each department, Coding to the correct nominal code, Uploading of invoices, Statement Reconciliations, Maintaining Supplier information

Sales Ledger: Raising invoices, Submitting to relevant portals for payments, Sending out Statements, Chasing Outstanding Invoices

You will have:

Been a Finance Administrator, Finance Assistant or similar role.

Experience in a small/medium organisation

A solid understanding of bookkeeping principles

A confidence in working in a team environment and be self-motivated to work independently

Xero accounting software is an advantage
