If you are an experienced legal cashier and have a thorough knowledge of the Solicitors Accounts Rules you might be the perfect fit for the team. My client are a well-established law firm based in North West London, offering a wide range of legal services to our clients. They are seeking a full-time Legal Cashier to join their Accounts department and handle various tasks such as:

  1. Dealing with residential and commercial completions
  2. Processing chaps, BACS and international payments
  3. Dealing with client receipts, general queries, client designated deposit accounts, payment of client interest & ensuring compliance of both the Solicitors Accounts Rules and the firms internal rules
  4. Understanding of CCMS reporting and billing
  5. Processing of LAA remittance advice
  6. CWA reporting (Legal Help Fixed Fee submission)
  7. Up to date knowledge of LAA Costs Assessment Guidance
  8. Knowledge/application of Civil Procedures Rules – Civil Legal Aid (Renumeration) Regulations 2013

Experience and skills

  • Ability to interact effectively with people at all levels within the firm
  • Ability to work in a team with a client service focus
  • Excellent written and oral skills
  • Knowledge & experience of Solicitors Accounts Rules
  • Experience with legal aid processing & submissions
  • Confident using various IT applications including outlook, excel, online banking and practice management software.

This role will offer a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and remote working arrangement.
