Purchase Ledger Clerk

  • Job Type: Full-time; 4 days in the office 1 day work from home

Join a leading professional construction consultancy located in the heart of Central London. We are seeking a dedicated Purchase Ledger Clerk to support their Purchase Ledger Manager within a dynamic AP team. This role is ideal for someone who is adaptable, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Process supplier invoices and ensure they are approved correctly.
  • Handle queries and resolve any issues related to invoices promptly.
  • Reconcile supplier accounts and statements to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Prepare weekly payment runs to ensure timely transactions.
  • Check and process staff expenses, managing the AP & Expenses inbox efficiently.
  • Set up new supplier accounts and amend supplier details upon receiving correct documentation.
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as required, contributing to the overall efficiency of the AP department.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of Excel.
  • Proactive and positive attitude.
  • Proven ability to organise and prioritise workload to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong team player with the ability to also work independently.
  • Excellent attention to detail, proactive approach, and flexibility in handling various tasks.
  • Good communication skills, capable of building strong internal and external relationships.
