Senior Research ScientistLondon £80,000-£90,000

This AI Health-tech start-up are looking for a Senior Research Scientist to join their R&D team specialising in LMIC.

THE COMPANY

Data & AI are at the core of this company and they're looking to continue growing their R&D team. This global start-up work with clients in the pharmaceutical industry to help solve their business problems by using behavioural data. The project you'll be working on in the immediate future will focus on using data from various sources to understand users when it comes to family planning, specifically in lower income countries.

THE ROLE

As a Senior Research Scientist for the business, you will:

  • Work solely with user behaviour data to understand the drivers for using or not using contraception when it comes to family planning
  • Analyse the data and build classical machine learning models
  • Work with Data Engineers to put the ML models into production

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • PhD in a relevant subject
  • Several years commercial experience as a Research / Data Scientist working with Behavioural data specifically around contraceptives / contraception / family planning
  • Experience working with data specifically from middle or lower income countries
  • Experience building ML models in Python or R
  • Experience in the healthcare/ pharma space industry

SALARY AND BENEFITS

  • £80,000-£90,000 depending on experience
  • Bonus based on individual and company performance
  • Benefits such as pension, healthcare, unlimited holidays
  • Flexible working - They have an office based in London where you will need to come in for necessary meetings.
  • Can't sponsor visas

INTERVIEW PROCESS

  • 3 stage interview process speaking with various stakeholders from the R&D team including a case study / technical assessment
