Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Biomedical Scientist with a focus on bacteriology to join our team at St George's Hospital. The role involves working with a range of laboratory equipment and performing critical tasks to support microbiology diagnostics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform bacteriology-related laboratory work, including using analysers and equipment
  • Read and interpret culture plates for identification of bacterial pathogens
  • Set up and execute susceptibility tests to guide treatment decisions
  • Maintain accurate records of tests, results, and procedures
  • Ensure adherence to safety and quality control standards
  • Collaborate with other laboratory staff and clinical teams to ensure effective workflow

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in bacteriology and microbiology techniques
