Band 6 Specialist Biomedical Scientist6 months NHS experience mandatory

Location: Homerton Site Barts NHS Trust

Type: Full-time (37.5 hours/week)

Schedule: Monday to Friday, between 8am and 8pm (7.5 hours with 1-hour lunch break)

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: Ongoing

Pay Rates: £21 - £23 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform and oversee laboratory tests in Haematology and Transfusion.
  • Ensure quality control and adherence to laboratory protocols.
  • Assist in the training and supervision of junior staff.
  • Collaborate with clinical teams to interpret results and provide expert advice.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Biomedical Scientist (BMS) in Haematology and Transfusion is essential.
  • Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Biomedical Science.
  • HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist.
