We are seeking a Science Technician to support effective and efficient teaching and learning in the Science Department through the provision of technical and other support. A good Science background is essential, as are excellent organisational skills.

The Elmgreen School became part of the Dunraven Educational Trust in September 2021, and together, we are focused on developing an exciting, dynamic and progressive community, focused on improving the outcomes for children and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • under the direction of the Senior Science Technician, preparing practical resources, equipment and materials to meet the needs of the Science curriculum;
  • giving technical advice and support on health and safety issues to teachers and students;
  • assisting class teachers with or carrying out demonstrations of scientific experiments;
  • ensuring the maintenance of a healthy and safe working environment.

Salary: NJC Scale 4, Points 7-10, £29,412 - £30,771 pro rata (actual term-time salary: £25,441 - £26,585).
