Fantastic opportunity for an experienced Accountant/Bookkeeper to work for an entrepreneur in the media sector as an Accountant reporting to the Chartered Accountancy firm and the Head of Operations. This role will require someone flexible and happy to take calls when the client is in different time zones worldwide. The role is office based to start and will then become hybrid, 3 days office and 2 days home. 

Responsibility of the Bookkeeper Role:-

  • All aspects of purchase ledger, match batch and code invoices to the in-house system
  • Chase stakeholders for credit card receipts and invoices
  • Gain approval for payment, raise the payments and pay suppliers
  • Reconcile all credit cards
  • Monitor the budget for the UK operation and discuss any issues with the Director
  • Bank reconciliations on a monthly basis
  • Ad hoc duties as requested with regard to accounts 

Requirement of the Bookkeeper Role:-

  • Flexibility, the Director travels a lot to the USA and you will need to take calls outside normal hours
  • Discretion and attention to detail
  • Highly organised with first-rate communication skills
  • Practice trained would be a bonus
  • Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping
