Accounts Assistant | Fast Growth TV Production SME - 12 month FTC Mat Cover

Harmonic are delighted to be working with this TV production company which is one of the fastest growing indies in the last couple of years and is based in London. This is a 12 month mat cover where you'll be working alongside a production team of four and a finance team of seven.

The Role:

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in accounts payable, managing pre-paid cards, expenses, credit cards and petty cash ideally within the TV & Film industry. Above all the successful candidate should be enthusiastic with an interest in progressing a career in TV production finance. You will need to have a pro-active detail-oriented approach to work, be able to hit deadlines, be methodical, numerate, socially confident, resourceful and intelligent.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Managing and having ownership of the accounts payable function across various active productions.
  • Invoice processing, creating payment lists and loading payments to the bank.
  • Monitoring multiple accounts inboxes.
  • Being the primary finance contact, managing suppliers' accounts with efficiency, reconciling statements, and ensuring accounts are up to date.
  • Managing & processing expenses, floats, company credit cards and EQUALS Cards, ensuring they are reconciled in a timely manner.
  • Assisting with processing the monthly payroll and production Month End packs.
  • Assisting with reconciliation of Cost Managers.

Required skills:

  • Strong IT skills (particularly Excel) - experience with Xero and EQUALS (ideal but not required)
  • Excellent personal and communications skills, with the ability to build positive professional working relationships with production staff
  • Strong planning and coordination skills, with the ability to deliver high quality work to a tight timetable
  • Good work ethic, positive attitude with the ability to handle multiple tasks and set priorities
  • Can work independently, manage deadlines, prioritise, multi-task and be flexible.

Salary: £28,000 - £36,000
