Accounts Payable Assistant (10 months FTC)

Location: Soho

Our client is seeking a meticulous and customer-focused Accounts Payable Assistant to join their dynamic finance team. Based in the heart of Soho, this role offers an exciting opportunity to provide an effective and efficient Accounts Payable service across various team functions.

What you'll do:

As an Accounts Payable Assistant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of the organisation. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include processing and paying supplier invoices, managing the AP team mailbox, and ensuring all compliance measures are adhered to. You will also be responsible for managing assigned month-end duties and providing an effective customer-focused approach for your assigned clients/suppliers. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, the ability to prioritise workload effectively, and excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Processing supplier invoices and expenses in line with KPI targets
  • Paying supplier invoices and expenses in line with KPI targets
  • Managing AP team mailbox, ensuring all queries are responded to in a timely manner
  • Ensuring compliance measures such as SOX controls are adhered to
  • Managing assigned month-end duties including Monthly Supplier Recs and Bank Rec queries
  • Providing an effective and customer-focused approach for your assigned clients/suppliers
  • Performing ad-hoc tasks as required

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Accounts Payable Assistant role will bring a strong attention to detail, particularly when dealing with high volumes of data. You should have the ability to prioritize your workload effectively, ensuring that important tasks are completed within set deadlines. A good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) is essential, along with a customer-focused approach. While experience in an accounts payable role is desirable, it is not required. Ideally, you would have experience using a finance system such as Oracle.

  • Attention to detail as dealing with high volume of data that needs to be accurate
  • Ability to prioritise workload and reorganize tasks to ensure important work is completed to meet deadlines
