Due to continued growth a reputable and progressive client in Farringdon are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Semi-SeniorAccounts Assistant to join their team. This role is ideal for an individual currently studying ACCA and looking to gain hands-on experience in accounts preparation, VAT returns, and management accounts. You will work closely with senior team members while also providing guidance to junior staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare accounts for a portfolio of clients within set budgets and timescales.
  • Assist in the supervision and training of junior staff, supporting the Accounts Senior.
  • Produce draft accounts with a well-documented supporting file (paper-based or digital) for review.
  • Prepare VAT returns and management accounts.
  • Handle general office-based tasks as required.
  • Undertake ad hoc specialist assignments as they arise.
Requirements:
  • Currently studying ACCA.
  • Strong experience in full accounts preparation, from basic records to computerised accounting systems.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise workloads effectively.
  • Good written and verbal English skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
