Job Title: Sales Ledger- Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper

They’re now looking for a motivated, hardworking Sales Ledger Accounts Assistant / Book Keeper to join their well established finance team (5 people). The role will involve supporting the Finance Manager with all aspects related to accounts and finance - with a core focus on accounts receivable - alongside assisting with minimal HR and admin duties. To be successful in this role you must be a self-motivator, possess an eye for detail and a professional manner at all times.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Ensure sales invoices and credit notes are raised on a timely basis
  • Handle month end procedures including sales and receipts reconciliations (by channels), accruals, bank reconciliations, AP/ AR contra, etc
  • Credit control and dispute resolution
  • Provide weekly status update on AR aging report, including the latest receipt postings and allocation
  • Multi-currency transactions' postings
  • UK and International VAT reconciliations and submissions
  • AP invoices posting, e.g. platform fees
  • Filing and administrative office work
  • Assist year end audit
  • Other ad hoc duties

Your experience:

  • Previous experience working in an accounting support role.
  • AAT level 3 or ACCA/CIMA studier
  • Knowledge of basic accounting practices and procedures.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office package incl. Excel (Advanced / Intermediate user)
  • Accurate with a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities, able to multi-task
  • Working experience using Sage/NetSuite/Xero and other accounting software packages
  • Good Excel
  • good Accounting Knowledger DR's / CR's
  • Ideally you will have worked within an E-commerce, on-line retail business with high volume levels

Compensation:

  • £30,000 - £35,000 dependent on experience
