Prestigious, award-winning brand is looking to recruit a talented, self-sufficient bookkeeper with a commercial and analytical mindset. Your attention to detail will be second-to-none, you will be passionate about what you do; approaching each day with a positive mindset.Main responsibilities will be as follows: 

  • Dealing with day to day accounting and book keeping duties such as invoices, bills, accounts payable and receivable
  • Accruals and prepayments
  • Liaising with the external Accountant on management accounts and reporting on a regular basis and providing information to the SMT
  • Completing bank reconciliations 
  • Expenses - making sure they are within the set budget 
  • Petty cash management
  • Preparing reports, budgets, records, and statements
  • Posting daily receipts 
  • Completing the year-end analysis 
  • Reporting on debtors and creditors 
  • Handling accruals and prepayments 
  • Managing VAT returns 
  • Managing payroll

Key skills required for this position:

  • Accountancy qualification
  • 4 years experience in bookkeeping
  • Experience of preparing accounts up to trial balance 
  • Microsoft Office Suite; including advanced Excel
  • A strong commercial and analytical mind
  • Detail oriented
  • Organised and timely
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Retail accountancy industry experience is an advantage
