I'm currently recruiting for a Bookkeeper for a fast-growing, dynamic company based in Camden, London. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to develop their skills in a creative, ambitious environment. The role offers a great work-life balance with Mondays to Thursdays in the office and Fridays working from home.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Managing UK supplier payments and entering them into the company's accounting software, Access.
* Handling interbank currency transfers and calculating product royalty payments.
* Raising ad hoc invoices, entering exchange rates, and preparing stock valuation reports.
* Organising supplier invoices and assisting with quarterly VAT returns.
* Reconciling payment portals (PayPal, Braintree, etc.) and dealing with deferred/postponed VAT.
* Processing staff expenses, analysing credit card statements, and entering data into nominal codes.
* Preparing commission statements and managing direct debit entries.
* Acting as the main point of contact for external credit controllers, handling enquiries regarding specific accounts.
What We're Looking For:
* Ideally, AAT level qualified (or equivalent), with at least part-qualification.
* Proven experience in bookkeeping or a similar accounts role.
* Familiarity with accounting software (Access experience is desirable).
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
* A proactive, hands-on attitude, comfortable working in a busy and varied role.
* The ability to communicate effectively with external parties, including credit controllers.
