We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and bookkeeping, with proficiency in various accounting software. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently.
- Prepare and reconcile bank statements on a regular basis.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Manage payroll processing and ensure timely payments to employees.
- Utilise accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, or Xero to manage financial data effectively.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
- Conduct regular audits of financial data to identify discrepancies or areas for improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role within an accounting environment.
- Proficiency in Xero accounting software.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong analytical skills with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality in financial matters.
- A relevant qualification in accounting or finance is preferred but not essential.
