This prestigious firm of accountants in London is seeking a skilled bookkeeper to join their team.
Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, particularly with a strong understanding of VAT.
The role offers a salary of £30,000 to £35,000 per year, depending on experience.
This is a hybrid position, requiring 3 days in the office and 2 days remote after the probation period.
Applicants should be part-qualified in ACCA or qualified by experience, with knowledge of Sage Line 50 and preferably Xero.

Working for a fabulous and Prestigious firm of Accountants regarded as one of the largest in the UK, with over 100 employees and 18 partners. Based in London, they specialise in helping businesses in fields like law, media, healthcare, and property. They are especially well-known for working with pharmacies, and help many community pharmacies and locum pharmacists across the UK.

This is a hybrid position after your probation period - 3 days in 2 days out.

Job Overview

They are looking for a skilled bookkeeper to join their growing team.

You will be in charge of the accounting process, so we need someone who is self-motivated, can meet deadlines, and enjoys learning about clients’ businesses.

Duties and Responsibilities

Bookkeeping with strong knowledge of double entry and preparing VAT returns using different VAT schemes.
Registering and de-registering clients for VAT.
Answering clients’ VAT questions.
Preparing management accounts for review.
Meeting reporting deadlines and preparing important client documents.
Ensuring high professional standards.
Building strong relationships with clients and your team.
Sticking to time and budget goals.
Highlighting issues in your work and offering possible solutions.

Skills Required

Part-qualified in ACCA or be Qualified by Experience
Good understanding of VAT.
Experience working in the UK.
Experience with owner-managed businesses.
Knowledge of Sage Line 50 and preferably Xero.
Good communication skills.
