Our client, a renowned organisation in the pharmaceutical sector, is seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join their team. As a Bookkeeper, your main responsibility will be to ensure accurate financial recording, reporting, and reconciliation. Your meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical skills will be key in successfully performing the following duties:

  • Complete and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring proper filing and reporting
  • Reconcile bank statements and other required balance sheets
  • Monitor cash balances and track transactions, preparing payment runs
  • Allocate transactions to cost centres and recharge on a monthly basis
  • Credit control of overdue invoices and allocate incoming cash to correct invoices
  • Analyse data and produce monthly reports for recharges
  • Collaborate with employees to ensure accurate time allocation and categorization
  • Liaise with third-party service providers and customers for correct cost allocation and recharging
  • Track and analyse internal and external costs within the organisation
  • Monitor debtor balances and credit limits
  • Coordinate with Group Finance for internal company transactions
  • Responsible for petty cash and reconciling company credit card transactions

To succeed in this role, you should have the following qualifications, experience, and skills:

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified bookkeeper
  • 1-3 years of experience in a bookkeeper role in a small to medium-sized business

Skills:

  • Proficiency in accounting systems, particularly Sage
  • Honesty, integrity, and reliability
  • Proactive and self-motivated with good initiative
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
