It provides a range of financial and business support services to artists, cultural organisations, and creative enterprises focusing on enhancing the economic impact of the creative sector, fostering innovation, and ensuring accessibility to the arts.This newly created position will work collaboratively with the rest of the company to ensure accurate financial management and administration for the company.

As our Bookkeeper, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring effective financial management across day-to-day finance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transactions Processing: Invoicing, payment reconciliation and income invoicing should be carried out regularly ensuring nominal and project coding of all transactions is accurate.
- Finance Inbox: Manage the finance email mailbox, ensuring enquiries are responded to and actioned promptly and appropriate filing structures are maintained.
- Cash management: Bank feeds to the accounting system should be maintained, and cash transactions logged and reconciled promptly.
- Income: Produce monthly departmental income and expenditure reports for Budget Holders and/or Heads of Department.
- Month-end: Assist the Director of Finance & Operations in the preparation and presentation of monthly business management accounts, financial forecasts and management information.
- Ad hoc tasks: assist the Director of Finance & Operations in the preparation of annual financial statements, ensure the availability of accurate financial data for funding partners or other stakeholders and ensure all compliance in relation to VAT, HMRC returns is completed.
What We're Looking For:
- Qualifications: Studying towards or have recently attained AAT level 3, a degree in accounting or similar.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role working with bookkeeping software such as Xero or Sage. Have some experience or demonstrable interest in working within the arts, cultural or creative industries. Ideally have some experience working in a part-time role before but not essential.
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and a particular strength in Excel. Ideally have experience using a CRM such as thankQ, Spektrix or Salesforce. Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.
- Attributes: Proactive, detail-orientated, collaborative and comfortable communicating financial information to others, whether they have a financial background or not.
