About the Company

Our client is a leading financial media & events / conference business putting on highly successful and profitable events throughout the world for the financial technology sector. Due to growth and success of the event Sponsorship Sales team, we are looking to recruit for a Sponsorship Sales Executive role.

About the Role of Sponsorship Sales Executive

We are looking to recruit for a driven and dedicated Sponsorship Sales Executive to secure sponsorship revenue from an established portfolio of events, awards ceremonies, conferences & briefings in the finance & banking sector. Based in Central London (and with flexibility to work from home 3 days per week) you will be responsible for managing and growing revenue from existing sponsors whilst going out to develop new business.

As a Sponsorship Sales Executive you will:

  • Secure event sponsorship income from new and existing clients with a split of 65% account management / 35% new business
  • Identify opportunities for cross sell sponsorship packages across the portfolio of events
  • Build and maintain strong external relationships with potential sponsors through telephone calls, web meetings and face to face meetings
  • Project manage new and existing relationships with sponsors to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Actively participate in industry events, representing the company and networking with new and existing clients
  • Work towards achieving and exceeding monthly sales revenue targets

If you have a track record in B 2 B sales and account management with at least 1 - 2 years’ experience in events sales (Sponsorship Sales) and would like to work for a market leader where you can develop and progress your career, then we would love to hear from you! We are also open to seeing sales candidates with transferable skills from other sectors such as Recruitment, Advertising Sales, or Subscription Sales etc.

Your Skills & Experience:

  • Successful track record in Delegate Sales or Sponsorship Sales (minimum 1 - 2 years)
  • Alternatively, we are open to seeing candidates with transferable sales skills
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales revenue targets in B 2 B sales
  • Sales Hunter mentality with excellent negotiation skills
  • Strong account management skills with the ability to network and grow accounts
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced sales culture
  • Hungry, competitive, goal orientated and self sufficient
