Are you a proactive, hands-on professional with a background in hospitality, cleaning, or facilities management? We’re looking for a Caretaker to join this college team in Kensington, ensuring the smooth operation of their prestigious buildings and events.

This full-time role is based on a 40-hour week, working on a rota with rotating shifts between 7am-3pm or 2pm-10pm. Flexibility is essential, as occasional weekend work may also be required.

In this role, you’ll support the day-to-day operations of the school, ensuring that the buildings are always clean, safe, and ready for use. Responsibilities include event preparation and setup, assisting with catering requirements, welcoming and directing attendees, and supporting teachers or event hosts as needed. You will also handle routine checks and maintenance, including minor repairs, supervising contractors, addressing health and safety issues, and managing daily compliance tasks.

Additionally, you will contribute to building security, oversee the opening and closing of premises, and ensure a safe environment for staff, students, and visitors. Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and readiness across all spaces will be a core focus. The role also involves promoting sustainability by minimizing wastage and environmental impact.

A background in hospitality or professional cleaning is highly desirable, along with strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment. This is a hands-on position where your ability to stay proactive and flexible will be key to success.
