Tempest Resourcing is looking to recruit a dedicated and reliable School Caretaker to join a dynamic and friendly school. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in maintaining the school environment and ensuring it remains a safe, clean, and welcoming space for students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee the maintenance, cleanliness, and security of the school buildings and grounds.

- Conduct routine inspections and minor repairs, including lighting, plumbing, and general upkeep.

- Ensure health and safety standards are met, performing risk assessments and identifying potential hazards.

- Assist with the setup and breakdown of rooms and equipment for school events and activities.

- Manage and maintain the school's equipment and supplies, ensuring they are in good condition and appropriately stored.

- Act as the main point of contact for external contractors and oversee any on-site work.

- Ensure the premises are secure, including opening and closing the school and managing alarm systems.

Requirements:

- Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a school or educational environment.

- Strong practical skills in maintenance, repair, and cleaning.

- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and risk management.

- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

- Excellent communication and organizational skills.

- Flexible and proactive, with the ability to respond to emergencies or urgent tasks.

- An enhanced DBS check.
