We are an esteemed education agency representing a dynamic Secondary School in Sutton, London. Currently, we are seeking a reliable and skilled School Caretaker to join the school's support staff. This role offers a competitive hourly rate ranging from £14.50 to £20.50, depending on the candidate's experience and expertise.
Responsibilities: As a School Caretaker, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of the school premises. Key responsibilities include:
- Site Management: Oversee the general upkeep and maintenance of the school buildings and grounds.
- Security: Implement security procedures to safeguard the school premises, including monitoring access and responding to emergencies.
- Health and Safety: Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintenance: Carry out minor repairs and liaise with external contractors for more extensive maintenance needs.
- Events Support: Assist in setting up and organising events within the school premises.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a School Caretaker or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong practical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
