School Caretaker (Location: Marylebone, London)

We are seeking a proactive and skilled School Caretaker to join the dedicated team at a dynamic and innovative academy in Marylebone. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a school that is making a real difference in students' lives. The successful candidate will play an integral role in ensuring that the academy is a safe, well-maintained, and inviting environment for students, staff, and visitors across two sites. The post is term-time only with 5.6 weeks of paid holiday and all school holidays free.

Responsibilities:

Proactively maintain and repair buildings and grounds to ensure the school is fully operational.
Support the setup of events such as exams and assemblies.
Collaborate with the team to ensure compliance with Health and Safety standards.
Act as a keyholder, responsible for the security of the premises.
Assist with deliveries, ensuring that goods are distributed efficiently around the school.

Contract Type: Permanent, 36 hours per week, term-time only (39 weeks per year)
Salary: £23,815.46 - £26,961.09 (FTE £27,687 - £31,344)
Start Date: As soon as possible
Closing Date: 11am on 15th October 2024 (early applications advised)

Requirements:

Experience in building maintenance or similar relevant roles.
Skills in plumbing, electrical work, or carpentry are highly desirable.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
Fluent spoken and written English.
Ability to work flexibly across two sites and adapt to changing priorities.
