School Caretaker (Location: Marylebone, London)


We are seeking a proactive and skilled School Caretaker to join the dedicated team at a dynamic and innovative academy in Marylebone. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a school that is making a real difference in students' lives. The successful candidate will play an integral role in ensuring that the academy is a safe, well-maintained, and inviting environment for students, staff, and visitors across two sites. The post is term-time only with 5.6 weeks of paid holiday and all school holidays free.


Responsibilities:

  • Proactively maintain and repair buildings and grounds to ensure the school is fully operational.
  • Support the setup of events such as exams and assemblies.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure compliance with Health and Safety standards.
  • Act as a keyholder, responsible for the security of the premises.
  • Assist with deliveries, ensuring that goods are distributed efficiently around the school.


Contract Type: Permanent, 36 hours per week, term-time only (39 weeks per year)
Salary: £23,815.46 - £26,961.09 (FTE £27,687 - £31,344)
Start Date: As soon as possible
Closing Date: 11am on 15th October 2024 (early applications advised)


Requirements:

  • Experience in building maintenance or similar relevant roles.
  • Skills in plumbing, electrical work, or carpentry are highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Fluent spoken and written English.
  • Ability to work flexibly across two sites and adapt to changing priorities.
