Business Analyst - MiFID II, Asset Management essentialLondon 2 days per week, the rest remote working£120,000.00 + 5% performance related bonusWe have an exciting new opportunity for a Business Analyst to Join Robert Walters as a Workforce Consultant. As an Employed Workforce Consultant, you will benefit from permanent employment with Robert Walters and will be deployed on an interim or project basis into our clients' organisations, in return we will provide you with an opportunity to develop your skills with ongoing training and professional accreditations.The successful candidate will join one of our top asset/investment management clients in London. The role sits within the Operations team of their business. They need a Business Analyst who can follow the Project Management process without full-time project management support.The role will initially help our client to clear a backlog of client change work, which is mainly focussed on new Head Office MI reporting requirements. This is a hands-on role, and the ideal candidate will have the ability to interrogate our SQL server database for the requirement reporting elements as well as the traditional skills such as mapping out business processes. A good understanding of fixed income asset classes, including derivatives is required, ideally acquired through work experience in the investment accounting or fund accounting functions of asset management companies. The business is managing a large programme of change work. Candidates with the right skillset will be able to get involved in other strategic projects such as a business transformation and automation of Client MI.What you'll spend your time doing: * Analysing the data requirements for client and head office reporting requests* Work with the MI, DevOps and Client Change teams to manage client changes within their framework* Facilitating workshops with clients or internal teams* Tracking risks, issues and actions associated with any changes and escalating when required* Partnering with our IT and TPA service providersYou're going to enjoy this job if you also…* Have strong analytical skills - especially with IBOR and ABOR* Love working with data - especially fixed income attributes* Have a positive, optimistic outlook* Like to work in an agile and flexible way* Have creative problem-solving skillsWhat skills, experience of qualifications would be beneficial:* Experience of investment and or fund accounting* Strong communication skills both written and verbal* Good Excel knowledge* Ability to query SQL server using SQL queries in SSMS* Strong stakeholder management skillsSuitable candidates should submit their CV in the first instance.
