Business Analyst- Reinsurance

We are currently hiring for a Business Analyst with Reinsurance experience to join one of our Insurance clients on a 12-month contract.

Inside IR35

Hybrid- 2 days a week onsite.

Responsibilities:

  • Working alongside the front office and support functions to proactively identify opportunities to work more efficiently and effectively.
  • Challenging existing methods and procedures and explore alternative solutions to complex problems.
  • Designing and shaping operating models, developing the associated organisational capabilities to deliver value.
  • Working with senior management to assist in the development and delivery of growth strategies based on an in-depth understanding of customer needs.
  • Tackling a wide range of business issues and opportunities across Operational Improvement, M&A Integration/Divestiture, Architectural & Organisational Design, Insights & Analytics and Research & Development.
  • To build and maintain a wide-reaching internal network whilst driving external partnerships with the business's peers and market leading organisations
  • Evaluate existing and proposed business processes through the definition of best practices and standards.
  • Document and evaluate current data availability and adequacy. Work with the business to determine what data is foundational and essential, and where required, how to plug any gaps identified.
  • Lead and facilitate workshops / interviews to drive ideas and solutions
  • Delivery of better value and greater efficiency through the identification and elimination of unnecessary complexity within business processes and identification of improved ways of working, including the use of data and technology assets.
  • Actively identify potential risks and issues with those initiatives and manage their resolution.
  • Identify trends and cross geography / line of business process variations as part of establishing best practice.
  • Elicit requirements and drive process change using the appropriate techniques, such as: staff interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, data flow analysis and workflow analysis.
  • Produce outputs that clearly articulate issues, impacts, opportunities and summarise findings for senior management.

Experience:

  • A proven track record of defining and delivering complex optimisation initiatives
  • Extensive General Reinsurance business analysis experience
  • Experience working in large organisation - multi-national preferable but not essential
  • Experience of formal change structure and disciplines
  • Strong data analysis skills
  • French and German speaking desired
  • Treaty experience
