Reed Talent Professionals are supporting a reputable Housing Association in the search for a Business Analyst to join their expanding team.  Reporting to the Service Improvement Manager, the Business Analyst will own the investigation and documentation of change requirements and the associated analysis to help translate them into tangible business solutions.

This is a remote working opportunity; however, you will be required to attend meetings on occasion.

The ideal candidate will have experience working within a housing environment and will have experience creating operational process maps, gathering requirements, writing work instructions and test scripts.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Gather, validate, and document business requirements.
  • Capture and record workshop outputs including process maps, requirements, risks, issues, assumptions, and benefits.
  • Support the prioritisation of business requirements using analytical, quantitative, and qualitative techniques.
  • Produce ISO 9001 standard work instructions (SOP).
  • Develop business process maps and associated documentation and confirm how these will be maintained following approval, including user acceptance criteria and standard operating procedures.
  • Work with the business to define solutions to support business improvement, including benefit analysis, options appraisals, and business cases.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, best practice developments, escalating and advising on key regulatory and operating environment impacts.
  • Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the organisation’s individual businesses and their related objectives, and be informed of their risks, challenges, and the impact of regulatory changes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • BCS International Diploma or APM (Business Analyst) qualification or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience and knowledge of business analysis within a large organisation.
  • Experience of improvement work, with a good understanding of technical documents and business rules, requirements gathering, definition, and validation – including data requirements, user acceptance, and MoSCoW.
  • Ability to solve complex problems, while maintaining creativity to generate flexible solutions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confidence in making judgements effectively and recommendations on the basis of evidence and analysis with experience of translating business requirements into project scopes.
  • Demonstrable experience of understanding and interpreting broad business requirements to deliver customer-focused outcomes.
  • Exceptional stakeholder and relationship management skills with the proven ability to influence senior stakeholders with differing priorities.
  • Ability to conduct stakeholder interviews and provide updates to stakeholders on deployment progress, risks, issues, escalations, and progress against targets.
  • Persuasive presenter, with strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Process mapping and understanding of/production of Standard Operating Procedures.
