A fast-growing digital and data consultancy is looking to add a Business Analyst to their team. They are a company known for their agility, collaborative approach, and client-focused delivery, working across SEO, digital content optimisation, and data reporting projects.
Unlike many BI roles where you're one step removed from the action, here you'll be involved from the very beginning - from running client workshops to shaping the final product. You'll have a voice in how solutions are delivered, work closely with suppliers and devs, and have real variety across projects. It's a role with visibility, influence, and room to grow.
The CompanyThey offer a powerful SEO tool that supports content optimisation, decay detection, and performance testing. Alongside their product offering, they work closely with clients on data strategy and reporting projects, primarily using Power BI. The team is a mix of UK-based consultants and offshore developers, working in a flexible, fully remote setup.
The RoleThe successful candidate will support a range of digital and data transformation projects, acting as the link between business users, third-party data suppliers, and the development team.
Key responsibilities:
-
Leading client workshops to capture and clarify requirements
-
Mapping business processes and defining clear use cases
-
Liaising with third-party data providers to understand data structures (often messy or undocumented)
-
Translating requirements into a format the offshore dev team can work with
-
Reviewing SQL queries and understanding how data feeds into Power BI reports
-
Managing stakeholders and ensuring alignment across technical and business teams
A recent example includes building an analytics platform that consolidates financial and operational data from multiple suppliers. This involved early-stage requirements gathering, coordinating with data vendors, documenting processes, and working closely with developers to build dashboards in Power BI.
Tech Stack-
Azure
-
Power BI
-
SQL (essential)
Hands-on Power BI experience is a bonus, but not required - the key is understanding data models, dimensions, and report behaviour.
What They're Looking For-
Prior experience in a similar role
-
Strong communication skills and confidence running workshops
-
Ability to engage with both technical teams and business users
-
Highly analytical, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently
-
Skilled at structuring unclear problems and navigating ambiguity
-
A personable, curious individual who can build rapport quickly with clients
Candidates from consultancy, digital agencies, or client-facing data roles tend to be successful in this role. Experience in regulated or reporting-heavy industries is also relevant. They're looking for someone adaptable, with a hands-on mindset and the ability to get stuck in without a rigid playbook.
