Business Analyst (Legal Systems) Contract

  • Day Rate Contract (inside IR35) £400-450 p/day
  • Hybrid working (3 days in the London office, 2 days working from home)
  • Initially 3 months (with extensions thereafter)

We are seeking a Business Analyst to provide immediate support, primarily focusing on the assessment and innovation of my client's Legal services function. This role involves working closely with key stakeholders to enhance their business processes and systems. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with a legal department, be adept at eliciting requirements, mapping processes, and identifying areas for improvement to drive efficiency and effectiveness within the organisation.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Elicit and document requirements, use cases, and map these to a traceability matrix based on earlier observations and feedback.
  • Establish key benefit measures and create future state process maps.
  • Scope potential solution suppliers and assist in building a robust business case.
  • Analyse business processes and systems, assess business models, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Work with stakeholders to gather requirements, develop solutions, and implement changes.
  • Apply structured analysis activities, standardise processes where necessary, and innovate to improve outcomes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst working with a legal department.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret user requests into functional requirements.
  • Experience in documenting business processes and identifying user success criteria.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to explain technical material effectively.
  • Experience working with new suppliers and business as part of the procurement process.
  • Ability to plan and schedule validation tasks, provide manual tests, and develop verification plans and processes.
  • Strong networking skills to build and maintain relationships with a diverse group of business stakeholders.
