Interim Business Design Lead – £565 p/d PAYE - £731 p/d Umbrella - South West London – 1 year contract - Hybrid working

Reed Talent Solutions have a fantastic opening for an Interim Business Design Lead to join the Metropolitan Police Counter Terrorism Policing team.  The Business Design Lead will leverage new technologies, varied datasets, and specialist operational knowledge to undertake detailed analyses and develop evidence-based solutions to some of CTP’s most complex challenges.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Business Operating Model Development
  • Developing business operating models and delivering change
  • Collaborating and building relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders from across the public sector, playing a pivotal role in reacting and reshaping
  • Using quantitative and qualitative analytical techniques, drive diagnostic and solution identification activity within a multi-disciplinary project team
  • Design solutions using appropriate operating model development approaches and methodologies
  • Identify and manage design dependencies with other inflight/planned change initiatives, and broader strategic objectives
  • Manage senior stakeholders and translate complex organisational problems and solutions into simple compelling narratives that achieve a broad business consensus

 Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Holds a Project Management Qualification (i.e. PRINCE2) or experience managing projects, or complex workstreams within larger programmes of work
  • Has experience of leading, developing and motivating a team within a challenging, change driven environment
  • Has an awareness of Enterprise Architecture, and the value that key Business Design Artefacts (i.e. Target Operating Models) have within an Business Design Context
  • Experience of working with various stakeholders within a large organisation including managing expectations and dealing with conflicting requirements and priorities
  • Is confident in developing and maintaining relationships, even within an challenging context
  • Experience working in matters of national security and counter terrorism

Vetting Required - Minimum LIVE SC Clearance. Candidates must hold or be prepared to undergo National Security Vetting Security Check (enhanced) SC level

This role will centre on hands-on experience in developing and amending operating models, specifically in relation to people, organisational governance, and information changes, rather than technology. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing and evolving operating models within both the public and private sectors, with a strong focus on organisational structures and governance.
