Exposure Analyst London with hybrid working? 

The Opportunity:?? We currently have a rare opportunity for an Exposure Analyst to join our Offshore Energy team, based in London with hybrid working options.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure in data science, advanced data analytics and underwriting techniques.  The role will focus on exposure management and price benchmarking for offshore energy risk across our Oil and Gas and some Sustainable Energy clients. 

This is the perfect role if you’re looking to start your career in Insurance or if you’d like to put your analytical skills to good use, whilst gaining commercial experience in a professional underwriting environment. ? Your New Role:?? 

  • Contribute to recording and measurement of insurance risks to ensure accuracy, good practice and adherence to relevant performance standards.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including colleagues, extended service team, customers and brokers.
  • Ensure accurate underwriting data is captured to minimize risk and ensure high quality output of information.
  • Conduct research, prepare reports and back up information to support the team to assist the business planning process.
  • Assist with the production of management information statistics and reports.
  • The successful candidate will be expected to learn and understand individual risk characteristics, and the underlying assumptions within the underwriting process.

  • Strong numerical skills
  • A good understanding of maths and science, either through education or work experience
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas, concepts and analysis
  • The aptitude to develop analytical skills and an interest in insurance
  • Some office/administrative experience in an insurance/underwriting environment may be useful
